About the piece
“This piece is on the theme of Christmas, Christmas has always been a feast associated with food. Both traditionally and historically the food that is the main star is often the meat. Meatballs, ham, sausages, pâtés, rillettes, ribs, etc., the list is endless and every year creates new meat dishes that are added to the Christmas menu. But is it really the meat that makes Christmas? When does the meat becomes to much? I wanted to make the meat look really fleshy, pink and a bit bloody.”
