About the piece
Sisterhood is one of four photographies in the series with the same title, that describes Kimberlys work, she practices an norm critic way of working with means she questions the contemporary norms in fashion and communication. Her work evolves around topics such as sisterhood, the female body and sensuality. She mostly works with women and try to portrait them in a different view than we are used to.
About the artist
Kimberly Ihre (b. 1991) has studied Visual Communication at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, and now works as an Art Director and Photographer. She likes to extend her work as an Art Director through an analogue camera. Her work goes through hours of research and a constant questioning of norm critique, herself and what she creates.
